Below are some great links to help you understand many of the typical things you’ll be encountering during your core rotations and electives (and beyond!). If you have difficulty using any of them or would like to add something to this list, please let us know by sending us a message!
- University of Utah Path Lab for Medical Education – this website is a great resource for those who need to refresh their pathology and don’t want to open up Goljan or Robbins Path books. Check this website out for a review of everything from general pathology through GU, heart, and more! Each section has many images and excellent explanations.
- Littmann Learning Institute – Lessons in Auscultation – want to hear heart sounds and actually learn what you’re listening and looking for? Visit the website and start listening to normal heart sounds and then progress through the abnormal ones. A very handy website indeed! They make some really good stethoscopes too so if you’re looking for one, check out this link.
- EMedicine by MedScape – this last website should definitely be one of your saved or bookmarked links. It provides you a thorough overview of most diseases and conditions starting from general information through pathophysiology and treatment. If you’re in a bind and don’t have a textbook nearby, this website should be your go-to site.
